This picture was taken the morning of the day I was to install the themometers and season my first personal "REAL" Barbecue, the 20" RD Special from the Horizon Smoker Company.  My son Jacob Hays had just turned 3 years old a couple of months prior, and his excitement was the same as mine.  This is still one of and will always probably remain one of my favorite all time barbecue photos.  The memory I have from the excitement and happiness of anticipating that initial fire up was something I had waited for for a long time.  Jacob is still my Barbecue buddy, and has since moved up to the  token rank of "Senior Vice President" of Sam's NW BBQ Co.  as of June 2010.  Not bad for a 5 year old BBQ wonder boy.  We've had a lot of fun in the backyard playing while cooking and just simply enjoying our time together while giving my wife a break from the both of us!  I will forever remember this particular morning and I'm grateful that the camera cought his silliness and good nature that you never know what can happen on a chilly morning at 7am when you tell your boy to pose for a photo.  Acutally "Brisket" was probably one of my sons first 50 words spoken , and talk about making a father feel proud!!!!

I'd like to thank all of my past, current, and future customers for allowing me to play a part in helping you with your barbecue needs.  It's been an honor, and I've enjoyed the appreciation that you've shown me for getting you the absolute best prices as I have promised, and as I have done.  It's been great getting to know so many of you the past few years, and as you know, I never tire of talking or listening to you talk barbecue.  I really do enjoy it and have had fun.

I'd like to thank you BBQ Sauce and Rub makers who've allowed me to deal with you directly to offer your products to my customers at my storefront at the lowest prices I'm able to.  You've all been great to me and it's been easy to proudly represent you and offer your products to the public.  Anyone else out there who has some BBQ related items you think you'd like me to carry, please do get in touch with me via email and send your wholesale pricing or give me a call.  I'm always looking for the best of Barbecue items to retail in my store.

And I'd especially like to thank my wife Lori and son Jacob, for them allowing me the time and having patience when this business has taken from our family time on occasion.  Also for dealing with a garage full of smokers at times before they have been delivered, especially when the weather has been foul and you had to scrape ice off of your windows! 

Lastly, I'd like to let my father, all of my friends, and friends of friends who've helped me with delivering, moving, and lifting these heavy duty barbecues.  Especially after my spinal fusion on my neck when I had a lifting limit of 10 pounds.  You've always come through for me, I appreciate all the help you've given me, for example that time when we put that big old 24" RD in the back of a Ford Ranger, which none of us would have believed could have been done.
